First Trail Magic!
Trail Magic is an act of goodwill or gift provided by trail angels for hikers. Trail magic can take many forms; a cooler filled with snacks and drinks on a hot day, a stranger offering a hitch into town for resupply or a warm meal.
We received trail magic at Pioneer Park in the form of fresh apples, crackers and suckers! It made our morning!
Other highlights include our first rattle snake encounter in trail. He was guarding the 100 mile marker!
We also got breathtaking sights at Desert View of the Mount Laguna Mountains, eagle rock and even caught a glimpse of the Salton Sea.
It’s been warm during the day 80-90’s and cool in the evening 30-40’s.
